That VA comp is part of Ozzy Osbourne Russian Official Fan Club Fanzine #1. Before i tell you a big story about how it started and things around i must say something about music. Most bands here playing stoner rock or something near. But here also some alternative and death metal too. Comp not mastered and i was scared that it would sound very ugly, but that one sound great IMO and i'm writing now as listener - i play all the record without skips, it's funny, i love every single song here and most (90%) tracks is real rock hits that worth to check it!

First part (1-7) of comp is songs that bands chose for that VA comp, or they left it for us (me, Dr. Ozzy, Oleg Dynya and Ivan Bredolog).

VA comp contain band and track, that Ozzy chose (after some fans chose list of bands on open concurs - some of them on this comp) - Lowriderz "Low Rent [demo, 320]" to support in Saint Petersburg's show in 2010.

Concurs had 3 rounds and Ozzy's choice was the last one) On first round bands gone through the choice of voters on site Yatalant.

Of cause Russian Ozzy f/c was one of main forces in that process with friendly Russian StonerRock community. It's started simply - Dr. Ozzy (president of f/c) posted on closed part of f/c forum (ozzyosbourne.ru) two news: 1) bad - Ozzy will play with support anyway; 2) we can choose the band on open concurs. We didn't believed in concurs till the end, but things gone right way in the end.

We started support bands of our friends - Чёрный шницель "Пай-мальчик" (this was just a joke of cause - lo-fi acoustic trash with sense of humour) and Dr Ozzy's friends Gift of Madness "Manifestation" (death metal). A little later i posted the concurs details on stonerrock.ru forum, because i knew that here a bunch of young, but great musicians. And five bands from this forum uploaded own tracks to this concurs - Stone Cold Boys (SCB) "Just a Fish", Sex Type Thing "Freeway Ride", The Re-Stoned "Run", Maskkot "Waste" and Lowriderz of cause.

Also Millions of Years "Burning Out" was part of concurs, but we didn't knew about it and i found it only when we started to create this VA comp.

First round winners was SCB, Sex Type Thing and Lowriderz. Second round - jury choice was SCB (Russian Rolling Stone magazine choice) and Lowriderz (f/c choice - Dr. Ozzy).

We hoped that SCB would play in Moscow, but A1 channel concurs was not so funny and have nothing comparable with yatalant concurs. Nobody asked fans about bands list, also concurs band list was closed - not a single band, that was supported by f/c (including most great Ozzy Russian social site community with more then 15000 members at that time /*today is more then 20000*/), in result the winner was metalcore(!!!) band Stigmata - trash choice. I didn't want to say something bad about genre or the band, just compare Lowriderz with stoner/southern sound and metalcore - what choice was better for Ozzy support? As i remember this gig - it was very ugly and pathetic.

Last part of comp contains rare songs from Lowriderz and Stone Cold Boys, that previously was not released on physical format. Including "Holy Diver" - Dio cover collaboration with Rock'n'Raw Bottled Band. In the end goes Чёрный шницель - project of f/c friend Anton "BadWolf" Malashin.
